NOTES ON PROPRIETARY FINE FESCUES
- Mixing fine fescues for shade tolerance is recommended by the Turf Department at Rutgers University.
- Fine fescues are shade-tolerant and attractive.
- These varieties provide excellent turf quality.
- They resist disease better than “low-end” or “common” varieties.
- Improved varieties of fine fescue also tolerate traffic better.
