Notes on Proprietary Kentucky Bluegrass

Kentucky bluegrass is the most popular type of lawn grass in the Midwest. Proprietary bluegrass varieties are dark green and beautiful, and also mix well with ryegrass to provide a very nice lawn. Bluegrass takes the most maintenance of any turfgrass and will go dormant before ryegrasses and tall fescues. Bluegrass generally germinates in 20-25 days.
